Thailand Approves 60-Day Visa-Free Entry for 93 Countries

Thailand has significantly extended its visa-free entry program, now including citizens from 93 nations who can stay for up to 60 days without requiring a visa. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance tourism and simplify travel arrangements for a diverse range of international visitors.

One of the key changes is the granting of visa exemptions to passport holders from 93 countries and territories, allowing them to stay in Thailand for up to 60 days without needing a visa. This policy change is expected to facilitate easier travel and encourage more extended visits.

In addition to the visa-free entry program, Thailand has also expanded the list of countries eligible for Visa on Arrival (VOA) at immigration checkpoints. Previously, citizens from 19 countries could avail themselves of this service, but the list has now been expanded to include 31 countries and territories.

Another significant update is the introduction of the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV), which caters to both tourists and remote workers. This new visa allows foreigners to stay in Thailand for up to 180 days at a time and is valid for five years.
