Do Employers Hire Entry-Level Candidates Needing Sponsorship
Employers are generally less likely to hire entry-level candidates who require visa sponsorship compared to experienced professionals. This is because visa sponsorship can be a costly and complex process, involving fees and legal documentation. Many companies prefer to sponsor candidates with specialized skills or those who have a proven track record in their field.
However, some companies, especially in high-demand fields like technology (e.g., software development, data science) or healthcare, may be open to hiring entry-level candidates if they possess rare or in-demand skills. Large multinational companies and those with a history of hiring foreign talent are more likely to offer sponsorship, but smaller companies may shy away due to costs.
Candidates with degrees in STEM fields or those who are eligible for Optional Practical Training (OPT) after completing their studies in the U.S. might have a higher chance of being considered for sponsorship.
