Am I Eligible for PSW 2 Years With Jan 2020 Intake?

Yes, you would generally be eligible for the UK Post-Study Work (PSW) visa, officially known as the Graduate Route, if you meet the requirements. The PSW visa allows international students who successfully complete a degree in the UK to stay for 2 years (3 years for PhD graduates) to work or look for work.

If you joined the January 2020 intake with an integrated placement year, your eligibility depends on the following:

1. Course Completion – You must complete your degree at a recognized UK higher education provider with a track record of compliance.

2. Placement Year – If your course includes an integrated placement year, the total course duration is still considered. You must complete the entire program, including the placement, before applying for PSW.

3. Visa Validity – You should hold a valid Tier 4/Student visa at the time of completing your course.

4. Timeframe – Since the Graduate Route was launched on 1 July 2021, students who graduated on or after this date are eligible.

Therefore, if your course (including placement) ended in or after summer 2021 and you applied within the rules, you would be eligible for the 2-year PSW visa.
