Can You Receive US Income Without a Work Visa?
If you are not in the U.S. and do not hold a U.S. work visa, you can receive U.S.-based income while working remotely for a U.S. company as an independent contractor (not an employee). You would typically be classified as a foreign contractor, and the company may require you to fill out a W-8BEN form for tax purposes. However, you are responsible for paying taxes in your home country.
If you are inside the U.S., you cannot legally work for a U.S. company without a valid work visa.
