Can I stay in the US one day longer? My visa expires 25 of September and my flight is on 26th of September? I did not know this before I booked my flight and I can't change it. I thought my visa starts when I enter the US.

Can I Stay in the US One Day Longer Than My Visa Expiry?

No, you cannot legally stay in the US beyond the expiration date of your visa or the date stamped on your I-94 form, which indicates your authorized period of stay. Overstaying, even by one day, can have serious consequences, including fines, future visa denials, or being barred from reentry.

It’s important to understand that the visa’s expiration date is not the start date of your stay. Your authorized stay begins when you are admitted by a US Customs and Border Protection officer and ends on the date noted on your I-94, not the visa expiration.

In your case, if your I-94 allows entry until 25th September, you must depart on or before that date. You should contact your airline and try to reschedule your flight or seek options to legally extend your stay before the I-94 expiration, though extensions on a tourist visa are not guaranteed.
