Thailand Visa: Work Permit on an Education Visa?
"Yes, but with strict conditions.
In Thailand, a student on a Non-Immigrant ED (Education) visa cannot automatically work. However:
Internships or Part-Time Work Through the School
Your school must officially arrange the work.
The employer and school apply together for a limited work permit.
Work Permit Limitations
Work is usually part-time (often 20 hours/week or less).
Only allowed for specific jobs related to your field of study.
Separate Non-Immigrant B Visa Requirement
If you want full-time employment, you must switch to a Non-Immigrant B visa and then apply for a work permit through a Thai employer.
In short: student visa + work permit is possible, but only under school-arranged internships or very limited part-time work. Full-time jobs require changing your visa type."
