Canada Post-Study Visa: How Long for Master's?

In Canada, master's students can get a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) for up to 3 years, depending on the length of their program.

• If your master's program is 2 years or longer, you are eligible for a 3-year PGWP.

• If your master's program is less than 2 years but at least 8 months, the PGWP duration will match the program length.

Some provinces, like Quebec, have special rules, but generally, a 1-year master's program can still qualify for a 3-year PGWP in certain cases.
