If I have a valid sponsorship (tier 2 visa) through a relative's company in the UK, can I work full-time in another UK company without getting a new sponsorship/visa?
Can I Work in Another UK Company with Relative’s Sponsorship
No, you cannot work full-time for another UK company without getting a new sponsorship or visa. Your Tier 2 visa (now Skilled Worker visa) is tied to the specific employer that sponsored you. You are only allowed to work for the sponsoring company unless you:
1. Get a new sponsorship: If you want to work full-time for a different company, they must sponsor you with a new Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS), and you will need to apply for a new Skilled Worker visa.
2. Part-time/Additional work: Under the Skilled Worker visa rules, you can take on a second job under certain conditions:
o The second job must be in the same occupation and at the same skill level as your sponsored job.
o You can work up to 20 hours per week in the additional job without needing new sponsorship.
If you wish to work full-time at another company, you must go through the visa transfer process to be legally employed by that new company.
