What Happens to US Visas If I Change Passport?

If you change nationality and the passport containing your valid US visa is cancelled, the visa itself does not automatically remain valid. A US visa is always tied to the passport in which it was issued. Once that passport is cancelled, damaged, or otherwise no longer valid, the visa inside it is also considered invalid for travel.

If you still want to travel to the US under your new nationality, you must apply for a new visa using your new passport. However, if your old passport with the visa is not cancelled but only expired, you can usually travel by carrying both passports together (the old passport with the valid visa and the new passport for identification).

In your case, since the old passport is cancelled after changing nationality, you cannot use the visa anymore. You must apply for a fresh visa with your new passport issued under your new nationality.
