In a recent development aimed at enhancing tourism, the High Commission of India in Kuala Lumpur has introduced a new visa initiative specifically targeting Malaysian travelers. This initiative offers Malaysian nationals a 30-day e-Tourist visa with the added benefit of double-entry privileges, all without any charges.

It’s important to note that this no-fee policy applies specifically to the e-Tourist visa category. Other types of e-visas such as e-Business, e-Conference, e-Medical, e-Medical Attendant, e-Ayush, and e-Emergency will continue to adhere to their existing fee structures and regulations.

The primary objective of this initiative is to strengthen tourism relations between India and Malaysia. By making the e-Tourist visa free of charge, India aims to attract more Malaysian visitors, encouraging them to explore India’s rich cultural diversity and its various tourist attractions.

This move is expected to not only increase tourist arrivals but also make travel to India more accessible and appealing for Malaysian tourists.

The High Commission of India hopes that this proactive step will foster closer tourism ties between the two nations, facilitating easier travel for Malaysians and boosting bilateral tourism exchanges.
