An NHS Trust in the South East, UK, is seeking a Consultant in Interventional Radiology with expertise in stroke thrombectomy and advanced vascular interventions. This role involves leading minimally invasive procedures for acute stroke management, performing complex endovascular treatments, and contributing to the development of thrombectomy services within the NHS. Job Details: Consultant – Interventional Radiology (Stroke Thrombectomy)

The consultant will be responsible for performing endovascular stroke interventions, including mechanical thrombectomy, working closely with neurologists, stroke physicians, and vascular surgeons to provide cutting-edge treatment.

Eligibility Criteria:

  •  Consultant Grade Experience: Minimum 6–7 years post-internship/foundation training
  •  Specialty Experience: Minimum 5+ years in interventional radiology
  •  Qualifications: Relevant postgraduate qualification (MRCP, FRCS, MRCPsych, FRCR, etc.)
  •  Registration: Full GMC registration with a license to practice
  •  Special Interests: Expertise in stroke thrombectomy, neurovascular interventions, and endovascular procedures
  •  Language Requirement: IELTS (minimum 7.5 overall, 7.0 in each section) or OET (Grade B)
