Two Pakistani Hindu citizens, Vicky Kumar and Poonam Kumari, were detained at Indore’s Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport due to visa issues. They had arrived from Sharjah on an Air India Express flight but were required to land in Delhi as per the conditions of their visa. However, they mistakenly disembarked at Indore.

Upon investigation by immigration authorities, the two were detained at the airport since their visas did not permit them to land in Indore. Authorities have confirmed that the passengers will be sent back to Sharjah on a return flight.

This incident highlights the importance of adhering to visa conditions, particularly regarding designated points of entry into a country. It is not the first time that passengers arriving from Sharjah or Dubai have faced similar issues at Indore Airport. In past cases, passengers with e-visas were also sent back as e-visas were not valid at this specific airport.

For now, the detained individuals are being held at the airport under supervision until their return journey is arranged. Such cases emphasize the need for travelers to be aware of the specific conditions attached to their visas, including permissible entry points.
