Historic Al Zubara Fort with Sandy Desert Views

Al Zubara Fort is a historic military fortress located in the town of Al Zubarah, in northwestern Qatar, about 105 km from Doha. Built in 1938 by Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Al Thani, the fort was originally intended to serve as a coast guard station and has since been transformed into a museum showcasing Qatar’s rich archaeological and cultural heritage.

The fort stands as part of the larger Al Zubarah Archaeological Site, which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013 for its well-preserved remnants of an 18th-century trading and pearling town.
