  • You can pay the fees using a MasterCard, Visa, or Maestro credit/debit card. The card doesn’t need to be in your name, but it must be "3D Secure" and enabled for international transactions.
  • The E-Visa or Entry Fee can only be paid in US Dollars (US$) or Euros (€).
  • There is a service fee of US$ 18.00 or €17.00 for all application types.
  • If you experience any issues with transactions, contact the Help Desk. Do not create a new application or make a new payment unless advised. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Business, and International Cooperation Suriname is not responsible for extra payments, and no refund will be given for incomplete transactions.

  • After entering the necessary information, proceed to the website’s payment gateway.
  • Pay the visa fee online using a MasterCard, Visa, or Maestro credit/debit card.
  • The card doesn’t need to be in your name. Just make sure it has the “3D Secure System” enabled for international transactions.

  • Upon successful payment, receive a confirmation code via email.
  • Once your application is approved, get your E-Visa as a downloadable .pdf file sent to your email.
  • Download and print a copy of your E-Visa for travel.
  • It’s recommended to store a copy of the .pdf file on your mobile phone.

  2. Passport bio page: A copy of the page in your passport that contains your personal information, such as your name, date of birth, and nationality.
  3. Copy of flight/travel itinerary (departure and return): A document showing details of your planned travel, including departure and return flights.
  4. Copy of Accommodation Reservation: Proof of your accommodation arrangements in Suriname, such as a hotel reservation.
  5. Photograph (size 3×4 cm): A recent passport-sized photograph meeting specific size requirements.
  6. Letter of Invitation: If someone in Suriname has invited you, you’ll need a formal letter from them inviting you to visit.
  7. Extract/Certificate of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry (not older than 6 months): This is a document proving the legitimacy of a business, typically required if you are visiting for business purposes.
  8. Copy of the ID-card of the guarantor: If someone is acting as a guarantor for your visit, a copy of their ID card is needed.
  9. Authorization of the parents/legal guardians of the minor (for minors up to 17 years): If you are traveling with a minor, you need written permission from their parents or legal guardians.
  10. Other relevant documents: Any additional documents that may be specifically required for your visa application.

  • To apply for a Surinamese E-Visa, go to the VFS website and create an account. Fill in all the required details and upload necessary documents. If you’re a minor, you might need extra documents.
  • Ensure the information on your application matches your passport exactly to avoid issues. Once processed, you can’t change the details.
  • Make sure you have a stable internet connection for a smooth application process. If the connection is unstable, you might get an error message for security reasons.
 

VISA APPLICATION GUIDELINES:

The process for applying for Suriname e-Visa/e-Tourist Card (Short Term Visa) from India typically involves the following steps:

  1. Visit the Official VFS Website:
    • Go to the official VFS website for Suriname.
  2. Create an Account:
    • Sign up for an account on the VFS website.
  3. Fill in Application Details:
    • Complete the required application details on the website.
  4. Upload Necessary Documents:
    • Upload the necessary documents. If you’re a minor, make sure to upload any additional required documents.
  5. Make Online Payment:
    • Proceed to the website’s payment gateway after entering your information.
    • Pay the visa fee online using a MasterCard, Visa, or Maestro credit/debit card.
    • Ensure the card has the “3D Secure System” enabled for international transactions.
  6. Receive Confirmation Code:
    • After successful payment, receive a confirmation code via email.
  7. Get E-Visa Approval:
    • Upon approval, receive your E-Visa as a downloadable .pdf file sent to your email.
  8. Download and Print E-Visa:
    • Download the E-Visa from the email.
    • Print a copy of the E-Visa for your travel.

At the Airport:

When you reach Suriname with your approved E-Visa, follow these steps:

  1. Show your passport to the Immigration officer.
  2. Present your E-Visa to the Immigration officer.

Processing Time:

The E-Visa processing usually takes up to 72 hours. If your application takes more than five business days, please reach out to us for assistance and Processing times may be extended during holidays.

Important notes:

  • When getting your E-Visa, use the passport you plan to travel with.
  • If you have dual nationality, pick the passport you’ll use.
  • Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your Suriname arrival, have a blank page, and be your only travel document.
  • Each traveler, even infants, needs their E-Visa.
  • Confirm your application matches your passport to avoid issues; changes aren’t allowed after processing.
  • The E-Visa or entry fee, a non-refundable online processing fee, can only be paid in American Dollars (US$) or Euro (€).

The Suriname E-visa is only valid for a short-term stay of 90 days. If you plan to stay in Suriname for more than 90 days (except for those of Surinamese origin), you must apply for an Authorization for Temporary Stay (MKV). In this case, an e-visa won’t be sufficient.
