VISA APPLICATION GUIDELINES:

The process for applying for a Permanent Residence in Argentina typically involves the following steps:

  1. Contact the Dirección Nacional de Migraciones (DNM) in Argentina:
    • The relative residing in Argentina should initiate the process by reaching out to the Dirección Nacional de Migraciones, the Argentine Migratory Authority. They should request a Migratory Entry Permit ("Permiso de Ingreso Migratorio" - PIM) on your behalf.
  2. Submission of Necessary Documentation and Payment of Fees:
    • Once the relative in Argentina contacts the DNM, they will be required to submit all necessary documentation as per the DNM's requirements. Additionally, they will need to pay the corresponding fees. This step is crucial to initiate the proceedings.
  3. Receipt of "Acta de Notificacion":
    • After the submission of documents and payment of fees, the DNM will issue an "Acta de Notificacion," which serves as a notification of the proceedings. It is essential for the applicant to include a copy of this document with the rest of the application materials.
  4. Conclusion of Proceedings and Migratory Entry Permit Issuance:
    • The DNM will complete the necessary proceedings. Once concluded, they will issue the Migratory Entry Permit. This permit is a crucial document for the permanent residence application.
  5. Application for Permanent Residence Visa at the Embassy:
    • With the Migratory Entry Permit in hand, the applicant needs to apply for the permanent residence visa at the Argentine Embassy in their home country. The Embassy will provide guidance on the specific requirements for this application.
  6. Finalize the Permanent Residence Application Process:
    • Follow the instructions provided by the Embassy to complete the permanent residence application process. This may involve submitting additional documents, attending an interview, or fulfilling any other requirements specified by the Embassy.
