Czech Republic Collect Your Passport: Retrieve Documents

After your visa application decision has been made, you have the option to collect your documents/passport in person from the Visa Application Centre or have them returned to you by courier, depending on the delivery mode chosen during the visa application submission.
For in-person collection:
You must bring:

  • The original ICR (Invoice Cum Receipt) and a copy of a government-issued ID.

The Embassy of Czech Republic has specific guidelines for third-party collection of passports or documents. It is generally not permitted, except in the following cases:

  • Immediate family members (parents, children, siblings, spouse).
  • Persons authorized to collect on behalf of official and diplomatic passport holders if authorized on government letterhead or department.
  • Company representatives with an authorization letter on the company’s letterhead and their official ID card (if permitted by the Embassy of Czech Republic).

Those collecting passports/documents on behalf of others must bring:

  • Photocopies of government ID cards of all applicants.
  • The original ICR.
  • An authorization letter from the applicant.

In case the applicant loses their ICR, they must visit the centre in person to collect the passport from the counter.
