Get started with your visa application
- Download the visa application form from the designated website when you are ready to apply.
- Complete the downloaded visa application form, print it, and bring the completed form with you to the Visa Application Centre for submission.
- Opt for the Digital Document Check service while booking your appointment to have your visa application form and documents reviewed online before visiting the centre, ensuring a faster, safer, and hassle-free appointment experience.
Choose a Visa Application Centre and make an appointment
- New slots open every second Monday of the month at 2 pm for visa appointments.
- Appointment confirmation and a letter will be sent via email after booking.
- Family members need to book individual appointments.
- Rescheduling of appointments is only allowed within 24 hours of booking.
- Citizens of India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh should book appointments at the VFS Global visa center in Delhi.

Attend your scheduled appointment
- Complete visa application forms must be submitted in person at the Visa Application Centre.
- At the Visa Application Centre, applicants will be issued a token number and will be served in the order of their assigned token number.
- The processing time may exceed the duration mentioned on the appointment letter, as it depends on the number of applications being submitted by individuals at the counter.
Stay informed about the progress of your application
- An email notification will be sent to you when a decision has been made on your visa application and returned to the Visa Application Centre.
- Some Visa Application Centres may offer SMS updates if you prefer or have limited access to email. Check if this service is available at the Centre you are visiting.
- You can track your visa application status online using the Reference Number mentioned on the invoice/receipt issued by the Visa Application Centre, along with your last name.
Receive your passport from the Visa Application Centre
- After a visa application decision, you can collect your documents from the Visa Application Centre or have them returned by courier for an additional fee. Some Centres only offer courier return.
- For document collection in person, bring the receipt issued by the Centre and a valid government identification. Authorized representatives can collect on your behalf with a letter of authorization, the receipt, and their identification.
- Check with the Visa Application Centre for available document collection options during your appointment.
- Third-party collection of passports or documents is generally not allowed, except for immediate family members (with relationship proof), one member collecting for the entire group, or authorized government officials or company representatives (with appropriate authorization).
- If you want the passport delivered to your office, mention it in the covering letter and provide the office address in the courier request form.

- Prime Time Collection enables applicants to collect their passport from the Centre on Saturdays between 09:00 and 16:00 in Delhi, with an additional charge of 500 INR.
- On Demand Mobile Visa service provides the convenience of submitting the visa application form, documents, and biometric data at your home or office. Contact the provided phone number or email to schedule an appointment for this service.
- Once processed, the passport will be returned to you via courier. The Mobile Biometric team will get in touch after receiving your request.
