When ready, download the VISA Application Form here, complete, print, and submit it at the Visa Application Centre. The Swiss Embassy in New Delhi reviews applications in person or through representatives or authorized agents; no mail submissions.

  • After you apply for your visa, you'll need to make an appointment at a Visa Application Centre for fingerprint and photo collection (biometric information).
  • Once you've booked your appointment, you'll receive an email confirming the date and time.
  • If you're part of a family or group, each person must book their own appointment. For example, a family of 2 adults and 2 children should book 4 separate appointments.
  • Travel agents arranging group appointments can call 022-67866042 to reserve slots at the Joint Schengen Visa Application Centres in India.

Important things to remember:

  • You can reschedule your appointment up to 2 times.
  • Make sure to reschedule at least 2 days before the originally scheduled date.
  • If you reschedule more than twice, it will be treated as a new appointment.
  • Appointment cancellations won't result in a refund of service charges and must be made at least 2 working days before the scheduled date.

  • After submitting your application, you'll need to pay your visa fee at the VFS Centre. If you download and print the form to bring to the Visa Application Centre, you can make the payment during your appointment.

  • You'll get an email notification when your decision is back at the Visa Application Centre. If you prefer SMS updates or don't have easy email access, check if this option is available at your chosen Centre.
  • You can also Track your visa application online using the Reference Number from your invoice/receipt and your last name.

  • After your visa application decision is made, you have two choices for getting your documents back:
    1. In-Person Pickup: Visit the Visa Application Centre to retrieve your documents. Bring the receipt you received from the Centre and a copy of your government ID. If you can't go yourself, you can authorize a representative with a signed letter from you, along with the receipt and their government ID.
    2. Courier Service: You can opt for a courier service, which comes with an additional fee. In some Visa Application Centres, this might be the only way to get your documents back.
