Thailand is set to implement the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), a mandatory online entry requirement for all foreign travelers starting May 1, 2025. This initiative replaces the traditional paper-based TM6 form and aims to streamline the immigration process.

Key Details of the TDAC:

  • Mandatory Completion: All foreign travelers, regardless of visa status, must complete the TDAC within 72 hours prior to arrival in Thailand.
  • Exemptions: The requirement does not apply to transit passengers who do not pass through immigration control and travelers holding a "Border Pass" for specific border crossings.
  • Accessing the TDAC: The digital form is available on the official platform:

Steps to Complete the TDAC:

  1. Personal Information: Enter details such as full name, date of birth, nationality, passport number, and visa number (if applicable).
  2. Travel Details: Provide information on the date of arrival, mode of transportation, purpose of stay, and accommodation address in Thailand.
  3. Health Declaration: List countries visited in the 14 days prior to arrival, as required by the Thai Ministry of Public Health.
  4. Review and Submit: Verify all information, provide a valid email address for receiving the TDAC, accept the terms of use, and submit the form.
  5. Download TDAC: Upon submission, a PDF version of the TDAC will be sent via email. Travelers should print or save a digital copy for presentation at immigration checkpoints.

The introduction of the TDAC is part of Thailand's efforts to modernize entry procedures, enhance data accuracy, and reduce processing times at immigration. Travelers are advised to complete the TDAC within the specified timeframe to ensure a smooth entry into the country.
