Philippines Visa Shortage Occupations - Priority Applicants
The Critical Skills Occupations List, effective from 2 September 2024, outlines jobs that require specific qualifications, experience, or skills that are needed to support the economy. This list is included in Schedule 3 of the Regulations, under SI 444 of 2024. The jobs are categorized using the Standard Occupational Classification (SOC 2010), a system that groups workers by occupation.
If your job is listed under this category but involves a particular set of skills, you can apply for a Critical Skills Employment Permit. However, if your job falls under the general category but lacks the specific skills mentioned, you may not qualify for this permit. The list aims to help fill important roles in the economy by attracting skilled workers to areas with a shortage of talent.
