What is an ETA?
An ETA is a special permission given electronically for people who want to visit Sri Lanka for a short period. It is a way to make the process of visiting Sri Lanka easier and more efficient. When you get an ETA, you will be given a visa that allows you to stay in Sri Lanka for up to 30 days. This system started on January 1, 2012.
To get an ETA, you don’t need to send your passport or any documents or photos. You also don’t need to get anything stamped on your passport.
