Visa Fee and Service Charges Information

  • Visa fees are provided in USD for reference and are payable in INR.
  • All applicants are required to pay the visa fee at the VFS center.
  • The service fee, which includes convenience charges, is INR 2970 per applicant.
  • Additional charges for value-added services, inclusive of taxes, are as follows:
  • Video Conferencing Charges: INR 3200 (applicable if the Embassy requests an interview).

For Nepalese Applicants:

  • A service fee of NPR 3944 per applicant will be applicable, along with any charges for value-added services.

Important Notes:

  • Visa fees and VFS charges are non-refundable.
  • The visa fees listed apply only to Indian nationals.
  • Double the standard consular fee will be charged for urgent processing.

Step-by-step guide

Let us walk you through the process

  • The first thing to do is figure out which visa you need and make sure you can apply for it. You should also find out what documents you need to send with your application, how long it might take, and the fees you have to pay.
  • Your application must follow the rules for your visa type. If your documents are not in English, you might have to get them translated before applying.

  • You can also download the visa application form, fill it out, print it, and take the completed form with you to the Ukraine Visa Application Centre for submission.

  • After you've completed your visa form, you should set up an appointment at a Ukraine Visa Application Centre to have your biometric data taken, which includes fingerprints and a photo.
  • Once you've successfully scheduled your appointment, you'll get an email confirming the date and a letter for the appointment. If you're with family or a group, make sure to book separate appointments for each person.

  • After sending your application, you'll need to pay the visa fee. If you download and print the form to bring to the Ukraine Visa Application Centre, you'll pay during your appointment there.
  • The Visa Application Centre is where you can make the visa fee payment.

  • You'll get an email notification once your decision is back at the Ukraine Visa Application Centre. If you prefer SMS updates or don't have easy email access, check if this option is offered at the Centre you're visiting.
  • You can also check your visa application status online using the Reference Number from your invoice/receipt and your last name.

  • After your visa decision, get your passport at the Ukraine Visa Application Centre or pay extra for courier delivery. For in-person collection, bring your Centre receipt and ID. Representatives need your authorization letter, their ID, and your receipt. Check Centre hours and options. Note: COVID-19 makes courier delivery mandatory.

Here is a complete list of documents you’ll need when applying for a Short Term Visa to visit Ukraine for various purposes, such as holidays, visiting friends/family, attending a wedding, and more.

  1. Visa Application Form: Completed and signed Ukraine visa application form.
  2. Passport: Your passport should be valid for at least three months beyond your intended departure from Ukraine and have at least two blank visa pages.
  3. Passport Photos: Recent passport-sized color photographs with a white background, adhering to Ukraine’s photo specifications.
  4. Invitation Letter: Depending on your purpose of visit, you may need an invitation letter. For tourism, this could be an invitation from a registered Ukrainian tour operator or an individual inviting you.
  5. Travel Itinerary: A detailed travel itinerary, including flight reservations, accommodation bookings, and a planned daily schedule.
  6. Travel Insurance: Proof of travel insurance covering medical expenses and repatriation for the entire duration of your stay in Ukraine.
  7. Proof of Sufficient Funds: Bank statements or an official letter from your sponsor (if applicable) showing you have enough financial means to cover your expenses in Ukraine.
  8. Employment Proof: If employed, an employment letter from your employer stating your position, salary, and permission for leave, if applicable.
  9. Self-Employed or Business Owner: If you are self-employed or a business owner, provide documents like business registration, tax returns, and a company bank statement.
  10. Hotel Reservation: Confirmation of hotel reservations for your entire stay in Ukraine.
  11. Flight Itinerary: A round-trip flight itinerary or ticket reservation.
  12. Travel History: Proof of your travel history, such as previous visas and entry/exit stamps.
  13. No Objection Certificate (NOC): A letter from your employer or educational institution stating that they have no objections to your travel to Ukraine.
  14. Criminal Record: A police clearance certificate or a document confirming the absence of a criminal record.
  15. Visa Fee: Payment receipt of the visa application fee, as required by the Ukrainian embassy or consulate.
  16. Cover Letter: A cover letter explaining the purpose of your visit, the duration of your stay, and other relevant details.
  17. Proof of Accommodation: Evidence of accommodation arrangements, such as hotel reservations, a rental agreement, or an invitation from your host.
  18. Marriage or Family Certificate: If applicable, provide proof of your marital status and family relationships.
  19. Medical Certificate: A medical certificate stating that you are in good health and free from contagious diseases.
  20. Additional Documents: Include any additional documents specific to your purpose of visit, such as educational transcripts, marriage certificates, or documents related to business meetings or conferences.

Note:

Birth and marriage certificates must be translated into Ukrainian and notarized by Ukrainian authorities or the Ukrainian Embassy. Translations by Indian translators are not valid.

VISA APPLICATION GUIDELINES:

The process for applying for Ukraine visitor visa from India typically involves the following steps:

  1. Choose Your Visa Type:
    • First, determine which visa you need and if you’re eligible to apply for it.
    • Find out the required documents, processing time, and fees.
  2. Start Your Application:
    • You can download the visa application form, fill it out, and print it.
    • Take the completed form to the Ukraine Visa Application Centre for submission.
  3. Book an Appointment:
    • Once you’ve filled out your application, schedule an appointment at the Ukraine Visa Application Centre.
    • During this appointment, they’ll take your biometric data, like fingerprints and a photo.
    • If you’re applying with family or a group, remember to book separate appointments for each person.
  4. Pay Your Fees:
    • After submitting your application, you’ll need to pay the visa fee.
    • If you printed the form and brought it to the Centre, you can pay during your appointment there.
    • The Visa Application Centre is where you make the payment.
  5. Visit the Visa Application Centre:
    • You must go to the Ukraine Visa Application Centre in person to submit your application form.
  6. Biometric Data Collection:
    • During your appointment, the staff at the Centre will collect your biometric data, including fingerprints and a photograph.
  7. Track Your Application:
    • You’ll receive an email notification when your visa decision is ready at the Centre.
    • If you prefer SMS updates or don’t use email much, check if this option is available at the Centre.
    • You can also check your visa application status online using your Reference Number and last name from your receipt.
  8. Collect Your Passport:
    • After your visa decision, you can pick up your passport at the Ukraine Visa Application Centre.
    • Alternatively, you can pay extra for courier delivery.
    • For in-person collection, bring your Centre receipt and ID.
    • If someone else is collecting it for you, they’ll need your authorization letter, their ID, and your receipt.
    • Keep in mind that due to COVID-19, courier delivery may be mandatory.
  9. Travel to Ukraine:
    • Once you have your passport with the visa, you can travel to Ukraine within the validity period specified on the visa.

  • The time it takes to process your visa can change, and it’s decided by the Embassy of Ukraine in New Delhi.
  • VFS Global handles visa processing but doesn’t have a say in how your visa application is processed; that’s entirely up to the Embassy of Ukraine in New Delhi.
