VISA APPLICATION GUIDELINES:

The process for applying for Cyprus visitor visa from India typically involves the following steps:

For short trips to Cyprus (less than 3 months), you might need a travel visa. It lets you visit multiple times within six months, but your total stay can't exceed 3 months. Usually, it's for one or multiple visits.

For frequent travel (e.g., business), consider a multiple-entry visa, valid for one year, potentially extendable to five years. Still, you can't stay more than 3 months in any six-month period from your first entry.

  1. Pick the Right Visa: Decide which type of visitor visa you need based on your reason for visiting, like tourism, family visits, or conferences. Make sure you qualify and find out what documents, fees, and processing times are required. Translate non-English documents if needed.
  2. Start Your Application: When you're ready, download the visa form from the Cyprus government website. Fill it out completely, print it, and keep a hard copy.
  3. Book an Appointment: Schedule a meeting at the Visa Application Centre (VAC). During your appointment, you might need to provide fingerprints and a photo. If you're a family or group, each member should book their own appointment.
  4. Pay Visa Fees: After applying, you'll have to pay the visa fee. The cost varies depending on the type and category of visa. Be ready to pay during your VAC appointment.
  5. Visit the Visa Application centre (VAC): Attend your appointment at the Visa Application Centre in person. Bring all the required documents, including your filled-out visa form and any other needed papers. Make sure you have everything based on your visa type.
  6. Track Your Application: You'll receive an email when your visa decision is ready at the Visa Application Centre. If you prefer text updates or have email issues, check if your Centre offers this service. You can also check your application status online using the Reference Number and your last name.
  7. Get Your Passport Back: Once your visa is processed, you can collect your passport in person at the Visa Application Centre or choose courier delivery (extra cost may apply). For in-person pickup, bring your Centre receipt and a valid ID. You can also authorize someone else to pick it up by giving them a letter from you, their ID, and your Centre receipt. Check the Centre's hours for document collection details.

Important Notes:

  • Getting a tourist visa from the High Commission doesn't guarantee you can enter Cyprus. The airport's Migration Authorities can still refuse entry, even if you have a visa.
  • Processing times at the Cyprus Embassy usually take 10-15 working days, but sometimes it can take more time.
  • If you apply for a visa at the Cyprus Visa Application Centre in Delhi, your application will be sent to the Cyprus High Commission in New Delhi on the next working day.
  • If you apply at other centers like Chandigarh, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Bangalore, Cochin, Pondicherry, or Jalandhar, your application will be sent to the Cyprus High Commission in New Delhi on the third working day.
