  • Carefully input all required details exactly as they appear in your Indian passport. Ensure the information is truthful and up to date.

  • After entering your information, submit the form. The system will process your registration automatically. Upon submission, check the registration result immediately.

  • If your registration is successful, print the "Notification Slip for Pre-arrival Registration for Indian Nationals" on a blank A4 white paper. Verify that all details on the slip match your passport exactly. Sign the slip as required.
  • For registrants under 16 years old, a parent or legal guardian must check and sign the slip.

  • Keep the signed notification slip together with the specific Indian passport used for the registration. This combination is necessary for entry into Hong Kong.

  • In case of a passport renewal, replacement, or any changes in personal particulars after registration, you must reapply using the new passport or updated information.
  • Ensure that your pre-arrival registration details match your current passport information.

  • If, for any reason, you are unable to complete the pre-arrival registration process, you must apply directly to the Immigration Department for an entry visa to visit Hong Kong.
  • Chinese diplomatic and consular missions do not accept visit visa applications from Indian nationals; therefore, direct application to the Immigration Department is necessary in such cases.

Who Needs to Register?

  • Indian citizens with a passport valid for at least 6 more months.
  • If you're visiting or passing through Hong Kong for up to 14 days (except if you're just changing planes and not leaving the airport).

How to Register:

  1. Visit the Website : Go to the official Hong Kong government site: www.gov.hk/en/apps/immdparreg.htm .
  2. Enter Your Details : Fill in the required information exactly as it appears in your passport.
  3. Submit the Form : After entering your information, submit the form. It will be processed in minutes.
  4. Receive Notification : You'll get an instant confirmation of your registration.
  5. Print the Notification Slip : Print the "Notification Slip" and sign it (a parent or guardian must sign for those under 16).
  6. Travel with the Slip : Bring the signed slip along with your passport when you travel to Hong Kong.

When You Don’t Need to Register:

  • If you're just changing planes and staying in the airport.

Important Notes:

  • If you’re staying in Hong Kong for more than 14 days or for work, study, or residence, apply for the appropriate visa.
  • Pre-arrival registration is valid for 6 months or until your passport expires, whichever comes first. During this period, you can visit Hong Kong multiple times for up to 14 days each time.
  • Using incorrect information or a different passport can make your pre-arrival registration invalid. If it's invalid, you may not be allowed to board your transportation to Hong Kong or enter the city upon arrival.
