  • Once the applications are approved, the Immigration Department will send a notification with a link for payment. Applicants can pay the fees online using credit cards, the Payment by Phone Service (PPS), or the Faster Payment System (FPS) through the GovHK website, or the ImmD Mobile Application.
  • If the applicant or an authorized representative chooses to pay at the Immigration office, they can pay with cash, EPS, Octopus, FPS, or a cheque. The cheque must be crossed, made out to “The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region," and signed.

  • If applying online or by post, track the status through the Immigration Department website.
  • If applying via the embassy, follow up with the consulate for updates.

  • Most visas take 4-6 weeks for processing.
  • Ensure you apply well in advance of your travel dates.

  • For online applications, download the e-visa upon approval.
  • For postal or consulate applications, collect your visa in person or receive it by courier if arranged.

  1. Employer Forms:
    • Application for Employing Professionals in Hong Kong (ID 990B).
  2. Employment Contract:
    • Photocopy of the company’s employment contract with or letter of appointment to the applicant containing information about post, salary, other fringe benefits, and employment period.
  3. Company Documents:
    • Photocopy of the Business Registration Certificate.
    • Photocopy of proof of financial standing (e.g., latest audited financial report, trading profit and loss account, or profit tax return).
    • Documents detailing company background such as business activities, mode of operation, product ranges, etc., supported with catalogues or brochures.
  4. Business Plan (for new companies):
    • Detailed business plan for companies newly set up within 12 months, outlining source of funds, nature of business activities, turnover, expected job creation, etc.

  1. Dependant Forms:
    • The applicant’s application form (ID 990A) with Part B duly completed by the dependant.
  2. Dependant Documents:
    • Recent photograph of the dependant affixed on page two of application form ID 990A.
    • Photocopy of the dependant’s valid travel document or identity card.
    • Photocopy of evidence of the relationship between the applicant and the dependant (e.g., marriage certificate, birth certificate, family photographs).
    • Additional identity documents for dependants from Macao, Taiwan, or overseas.
