The Delhi Police Crime Branch has dismantled a fake visa racket and arrested three men who allegedly posed as visa consultants to defraud people seeking overseas employment.

The accused — Deepak Pandey, Yash Singh, and Wasim Akram — were arrested from an office in Zamrudpur, Delhi. Police said Pandey acted as the prime facilitator, handling victim communications and payments, while Singh and Akram were responsible for preparing forged visa documents.

According to investigators, the group created a fake consultancy website, paramountoversease.co.in, in 2021 and falsely claimed to operate offices in Nehru Place and Janakpuri. They used the VFS Global logo, fake social media advertisements, and even a U.S.-based WhatsApp number to appear credible.

The gang allegedly prepared forged employment letters, visa forms, ICA applications, and police clearance certificates. At least five victims have been identified so far, including one who lost ₹3.16 lakh.

Police traced the accused using email IDs, fake SIM cards, IP addresses, and bank transaction records. During interrogation, Pandey admitted that they impersonated VFS Global to lure and deceive clients.

Authorities have urged the public to exercise caution and verify consultants through official government or embassy channels before making any payments.
