Kuwait has introduced a comprehensive electronic visa (e‑Visa) system that allows travelers to obtain entry permits entirely online for four key categories — tourist, family visit, business visit, and official visit — eliminating the need for in‑person embassy visits.
Launched under the Kuwait Vision 2035 digital transformation plan, the system enables applicants to complete all steps remotely, including form submission, document uploads, fee payments, and receiving visa approvals via email.
Tourist visas will permit stays of up to 90 days, while family visit, business visit, and official visit visas will typically allow 30‑day stays. Applications are expected to be processed within 1–3 business days if documentation is complete.
The service is open to nationals from eligible countries, including residents of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states. Authorities say the initiative will simplify travel formalities, boost tourism, and reinforce Kuwait’s appeal as a regional business and leisure destination.
The official e‑Visa portal is hosted by the Kuwait Ministry of Interior. Approved visas can be presented digitally or in printed form upon arrival.
