A Mohali-based immigration consultancy has come under police investigation for allegedly defrauding a Haryana resident of ₹2.60 lakh by promising a foreign visa.

The complainant, Anil Sachdeva of Bahadurgarh, claimed that Future Square Visa Consultants, located at CP-67 Mall, Mohali, assured him of a guaranteed visa. Despite paying the full amount, the firm failed to deliver the visa and did not refund the payment.

Following the complaint, the Phase-11 Police registered a case against four individuals, including the company owner Himanshu and Mamta, a resident of Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh. The accused are being investigated under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Immigration Act. The police are working to identify and apprehend the remaining suspects and determine if other victims exist.

Authorities have urged the public to exercise caution when dealing with immigration consultants and ensure that agencies are registered and reputable before making any payments.
