  • Expedited Processing Times: Applications are now processed within 5 weeks to 90 days, depending on the employer and job category.

Eligible Professions:

The GVVA continues to cater to various sectors, including:

  • Creative Industries
  • Professional Sports
  • Religious Leadership

Application Process:

  1. Employer Submission: The Dutch employer submits the GVVA application to the Immigration and Naturalization Service (IND) on behalf of the employee.
  2. Assessment: The Employee Insurance Agency (UWV) evaluates the labor market conditions to ensure no suitable EU/EEA candidates are available.
  3. Decision and Permit Collection: Upon approval, the IND issues the GVVA. The employee collects their residence permit upon arrival in the Netherlands.

These updates aim to attract highly skilled professionals while ensuring the process aligns with the Netherlands' evolving labor market needs.
