The Philippines has launched new initiatives to attract Indian tourists, including visa-free entry and the resumption of direct flights from Delhi to Manila.

Effective June 8, 2025, Indian nationals can now visit the Philippines for up to 14 days without a visa. Indian travelers holding valid visas or residence permits from the United States, Australia, Canada, Schengen countries, Singapore, or the United Kingdom are eligible for a 30-day visa-free stay. The move aims to boost tourism from India, which recorded nearly 80,000 visitors in 2024, marking a 12% increase compared to the previous year.

In addition, Air India has resumed non-stop flights from Delhi to Manila starting October 1, 2025, after a decade-long pause, significantly enhancing connectivity between the two countries.

Philippines Ambassador to India, Josel F. Ignacio, stated that these measures are designed to position the Philippines as a leading tourism destination in Southeast Asia. “Ease of visa access and direct flights are key factors for Indian travelers when choosing international destinations. The Philippines offers rich cultural heritage, tropical islands, and unique biodiversity, making it an attractive choice,” he added.

These initiatives reflect the Philippines’ commitment to strengthening bilateral tourism ties with India and promoting mutual growth in the travel and hospitality sectors.
