On June 8, 2025, Delhi Police intercepted three individuals at Indira Gandhi International Airport attempting to travel to Spain using forged visas and fraudulent documents. The travelers had reportedly paid around ₹17 lakh to an agent who assured them job placements in Spain.
During immigration checks, officials uncovered discrepancies in their documents, resulting in their immediate detention. Following this, the agent responsible for facilitating the illegal travel was also apprehended.
This case highlights the persistent problem of visa fraud and exploitation of vulnerable job seekers aiming to work overseas. Authorities are actively investigating the racket to dismantle the network and strengthen safeguards against such illegal activities.
