  • Unauthorized Employment: Eight individuals were discovered working as carvers in a sawmill, and five others were employed in local restaurants.
  • Religious Activities: Two individuals were involved in organizing a religious conference aimed at curing diseases in the Mathagal area of Jaffna, scheduled from March 5 to March 7. Their activities prompted protests from local Hindu organizations, leading to their arrest.

Deportation Process:

  • The two individuals involved in the religious conference were deported to Chennai via Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo.
  • The remaining 13 individuals, comprising those working as carvers and in restaurants, were deported through Jaffna International Airport.
