The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) has issued an official warning to the public against falling prey to fraudulent online advertisements offering "quick" visa and residency services. The authority emphasized that such claims are false, misleading, and not affiliated with any legitimate government process.

These deceptive ads—mostly circulating via social media and unverified websites—often promise fast-track visa approvals in exchange for inflated fees, falsely claiming to have inside access to immigration services. Authorities have confirmed that no individual or private agency is granted special privileges to accelerate visa processing beyond the official channels.

“The ICP has not authorized any external party to guarantee expedited visa approvals,” the statement said, urging residents and foreign nationals to only use official platforms—the ICP website, mobile app, or licensed service centers—for visa applications and renewals.

The UAE government is actively monitoring and investigating these fraudulent platforms in cooperation with cybersecurity and law enforcement agencies. Legal action will be taken against individuals or entities found exploiting the visa system for personal gain.

Public Advisory

The ICP is urging applicants to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. Key safety tips include:

  • Avoid dealing with unverified agents or third-party websites.
  • Never share sensitive documents like passport copies or Emirates ID with unknown sources.
  • Verify application procedures through official government channels.

Victims of such scams risk not only financial loss but also identity theft or even visa denial. Authorities reiterated that all immigration services are efficiently processed through legitimate, licensed routes and that no shortcuts exist outside the official process.

For more information and to apply securely, individuals should visit the official ICP portal or consult recognized typing centers across the UAE.
