Deceptive visa agents from India have been targeting individuals seeking employment in the UK, charging between £20,000 and £30,000 for fraudulent work visas and job placements. Undercover investigations have revealed multiple scams specifically aimed at UK healthcare companies.

A report from DNA India indicates that these scams deceive legitimate UK healthcare providers, who are genuine sponsors in the visa process. The fraudsters arrange for highly qualified individuals to enter the UK under false pretenses.

Once there, these recruits often refuse to work and file lawsuits against the companies for not providing jobs or for unfair dismissal, while also seeking illegal cash-in-hand work.

One prominent case involves Sejal Christian from Surat, Gujarat. Christian orchestrated a scheme with ringleaders like Kirankumar Benjamin Rathod and Bhuvaneshwari Chauhan, who were sent to Clinica Private Healthcare through a UK agent named Nazia Vohra.

Clinica, known for its patient-centric approach, was unaware of the scam until significant damage had been done. Further investigation revealed that other tier 2 sponsor healthcare providers had been similarly defrauded.

Despite multiple arrests, Sejal Christian continues to carry out fraudulent activities, using individuals like Rathod to perpetuate her schemes and profit from them. The UK employment tribunals, often unfamiliar with these sophisticated frauds and immigration laws, tend to rule in favor of the fraudulent recruits, leaving the victimized companies at a disadvantage.

Corrupt immigration solicitors exacerbate the problem, undermining the credibility and financial stability of these healthcare firms.

This exploitation damages the reputation of dedicated healthcare providers like Clinica and promotes similar fraudulent activities worldwide. Raising awareness about these scams is crucial to safeguarding innocent healthcare companies and preventing further harm and disruption.
