UK Visa: Special Route for Indian Students to Study & Stay

The United Kingdom has announced the opening of the UK-India Young Professionals Scheme (YPS) 2025, providing Indian nationals aged 18-30 with an opportunity to live, work, study, and travel in the UK for up to two years.

Ballot Details

• Opening Date: February 18, 2025, at 2:30 PM IST
• Closing Date: February 20, 2025, at 2:30 PM IST
• Application Process: Interested applicants must enter the ballot via gov.uk. Entry is free of charge.
• Total Places Available: 3,000
• Selection Process: Candidates will be randomly selected, and successful applicants will be notified via email within two weeks after the ballot closes.

Eligibility Criteria

• Age Requirement: Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old.
• Financial Requirement: A minimum of £2,530 (approximately ₹2,70,824) must be maintained in a bank account for at least 28 consecutive days.
• Dependent Restrictions: Candidates must not have children under 18 who live with them or whom they financially support.
• Educational Qualification: Must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher.

Application Process for Selected Candidates

• Successful applicants will have 90 days from the date of notification to submit their visa application, provide biometric data, and pay the visa application fee along with the immigration health surcharge.
• The required funds must have been held for at least 28 consecutive days, with day 28 falling within 31 days of the visa application.
