In Ahmedabad, two visa consultants have been accused of defrauding individuals seeking visas for Australia and New Zealand. The consultants allegedly promised the victims jobs and visas for these countries but failed to deliver, collecting a total of Rs 48 lakh from the victims. The police have registered a case of cheating against the two consultants based on complaints from several individuals.

The victims reported that the consultants lured them with promises of quick and easy processing for work visas in Australia and New Zealand. However, after collecting large sums of money for visa fees and other related expenses, the consultants failed to provide any visa documentation or proof of employment opportunities abroad.

When the victims grew suspicious and demanded their money back, the consultants either evaded them or provided false assurances that the visa process was still underway. This continued until the victims realized they had been cheated and approached the police for help.

Authorities have now launched an investigation into the case, urging people to be cautious when dealing with visa consultants and to verify their credentials. This case highlights the rising incidents of fraud in visa applications, where scammers take advantage of individuals looking for better opportunities abroad.
