In Hisar, Haryana, police arrested a man accused of cheating a local resident out of ₹24 lakh under the pretense of arranging a foreign visa and job placement. The victim, who dreamt of working abroad, was systematically convinced by the accused to pay the sum in installments. However, after months of delays and unfulfilled promises, the victim realized it was a scam and lodged a police complaint.

Acting swiftly, the Hisar Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) tracked and arrested the suspect. Authorities confirmed that the fraudster had posed as an agent with overseas employment connections and collected ₹24 lakh under false assurances. During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused had no actual links with any foreign employer or visa processing entity.

Police have charged him under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code related to cheating, forgery, and criminal breach of trust. Investigators are now looking into whether the accused defrauded others in similar schemes.

The Hisar police have urged the public to remain cautious when approached by individuals or agencies offering overseas employment and visa services without proper credentials.
