After your visa application is processed, we’ll contact you about getting your documents or passport from the Visa Application Centre. You can also choose to have them sent to you by courier for an extra fee. Please wait for our message before going to the Centre because your passport won’t be ready until then.
If you want to pick up your documents in person, bring the receipt from the Visa Application Centre and a valid ID. But in some places like the Caribbean, documents must be sent back through courier, and you might not be able to collect them in person. You’ll be told when your documents are sent back to you after processing.
During your appointment, ask the Visa Application Centre about the different ways you can get your documents.
About the BRP letters: They are sent by UKVI within three days of your visa being approved. You might get the BRP letter before or after we tell you that your passport is ready. If you get the BRP letter first, don’t go to the Visa Application Centre until we say so, especially if you chose courier delivery. We’ll tell you when your passport is sent. For more about BRP letters, check our FAQ page.
