Visa Free Transit Facility
This page is a guide for people who might qualify for a 96-hour visa-free transit in Singapore, known as the Visa-Free Transit Facility (VFTF). It’s for visitors from specific countries like the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Georgia, India, China, Turkmenistan, and Ukraine. To be eligible for VFTF, you have to meet certain criteria and follow the entry rules set by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA). Remember, you can’t stay longer than 96 hours with VFTF.
For Indian and Chinese nationals: If you’re passing through Singapore on your way to or from another country, you could get the 96-hour VFTF if you have a valid onward air or sea ticket departing from Singapore within 96 hours. You also need a valid visa or long-term pass from specific countries like Australia, Canada, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, or the United States of America.
For nationals of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Georgia, Turkmenistan, and Ukraine: If you’re in transit to or from another country, you might qualify for the 96-hour VFTF with a valid onward air ticket departing within 96 hours. You can enter Singapore by any means of transportation but must leave by air.

- To identify the appropriate visa type for Singapore, determine the purpose of your visit, such as tourism, business, study, or employment, as each category has specific visa requirements.
- Visit the official website of the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) of Singapore or consult the nearest Singaporean embassy or consulate for detailed information on visa categories, eligibility criteria, and application procedures.
- Review the specific documentation, financial, and health requirements for the chosen visa type to ensure a successful visa application for Singapore.
You need to have the following documents:
- A completed Form 14A (PDF, 202KB) signed by you. Your visa application will be based on the information given in this form, and ICA might ask for it later.
- A recent passport-sized photo that is in color and taken within the last three months. You can refer to the Photo Guidelines for more information on photo requirements.
- A photocopy of your passport biodata page that is valid for at least six months from the date you plan to enter Singapore.
- Additional supporting documents Form V39A such as a Letter of Introduction for Visa Application (LOI) might be needed on a case-by-case basis.
Apply online
To begin your visa application process, you must visit the Singapore High Commission's Authorised Visa Agents. Alternatively, are located in the following states.

To initiate the visa process, it is necessary to contact authorized agents recommended by the Singapore High Commission. You will need to provide them with your file for further processing, as applications cannot be submitted in person. Please click the link below to access the list of authorized agents.
The fee for processing your visa application is S$30, which is non-refundable regardless of the outcome of the application or if you decide to withdraw your application after submitting it. Additionally, Authorised Visa Agents are allowed to charge an additional service fee of Rs.500 on top of the visa processing fee. All fees must be paid when you submit your visa application.
Your visa application will be reviewed within three working days, not including the day of submission. However, some applications may take longer to process. Each application will be evaluated based on its individual circumstances.
Please follow the instructions below to verify the status of your visa application. The same processes may be used to make a replica of your e-Visa if you previously had a valid visa but lost the one that came with it.
- Visit the www.ica.gov.sg website of the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA).
- Look for the " e-Services and Forms" section and click on "Apply entry visa."
- Scroll down the page and click on either "Enquire Application Status" or "Enquire Family Application Status" depending on your application type.
- Enter your Visa Reference Number (DELXXXXXXSAXXXXXXXX) and Applicant's Travel Document Number (XXXXXXXX), and click "Next."
- If your application is approved, click "Print e-Visa" to get a copy of your e-Visa.

- Valid passport with at least six months validity on the date of entry into Singapore

The local contact must be either a Singapore citizen (SC) or a Singapore permanent resident (PR) who is at least 21 years old. If you are applying for an entry visa for business visit (attending business negotiations or discussions), the local contact must be acting on behalf of the Singapore-registered business entity. LOIs issued by your Embassy/High Commission may also be accepted if you are unable to secure an LOI from a local contact to support your visa application for social and business visits.
