TURKIYE STUDENT RESIDENCE PERMIT APPLICATION:

Once you’re in Turkiye and have finished your university registration, the most important thing is to get a residence permit. A student residence permit is an official document issued to foreign students who wish to study at universities or educational institutions in the country. This permit allows international students to live and study in Turkiye legally for the duration of their academic programs. Here’s what to do:

  1. Fill out the application form at https://e-ikamet.goc.gov.tr/.
  2. Go to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management on the appointment day or take your paperwork from your university’s international student office.
  3. You’ll receive a residence card and a foreign identification (YU) number. Keep these with you in Turkey.

If your residence card is still valid, you can use it when entering or leaving Turkey, so you won’t need a new visa. Just make sure to renew your residence permit before it expires.
As a student, you don’t have to pay the residence application fee, only the card fee.
