Description
Dondra Head Lighthouse is the tallest lighthouse in Sri Lanka and one of the southernmost points of the island, located near Matara. Built by the British in 1889, this 47-meter (154 feet) tall structure offers panoramic views of the Indian Ocean. The lighthouse, with its white cylindrical tower, is a key navigational point for ships passing through Sri Lankan waters.
